This past May, my family and I ventured out into the deserts of the West, starting from Las Vegas, to the Grand Canyon, to the Antelope Slot Canyons, to Bryce Canyon National Park and finally to Zion National Park. Being in the midst of such vast beauty was so incredibly inspiring and you have no idea how stoked I am to share these pictures with you! I've decided to do this in parts, so my posts/pictures will be sectioned off by days. The first part of our journey began with our drive from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon National Park. On the way there, we detoured through a little town called Seligman on Historic Route 66. Seligman is a tiny little town with a whole lot of charm, of which the Pixar film "Cars" was loosely based upon. The town is relatively quiet (perhaps because of the time of the year we visited), but was livened up by the its quirky stores and colorful building facades.
We arrived at Grand Canyon National Park just in time for sunset, and what a welcome it was. That very first glimpse of the big, Big canyon in the glow setting sun was breathtaking. I can't describe it with words. See for yourselves.
