I've had the joy of documenting several weddings this year. Here, I'm featuring the weddings of Thad and Kirby, Laura and Gregory, and Nick and Amelie - all in one blog post! Each wedding was unique and beautiful in their own ways, but what's cool to me is that the love and excitement exuded by each couple, as well as their family and friends, were a shared commonality between all weddings. To the couples: Congratulations to you all, and thank you for having me : )
Dan and Kate are two of my best friends here in Pittsburgh, and we've talked about doing a Fall photo shoot for awhile now! Dan and Kate were married two years ago in September, just before the leaves started changing, so they didn't get to have wedding portraits taken with the orange and yellow Fall hues that Kate had envisioned having. So - this year, we made a point to hike all the way up to Beaver Falls (where Dan is from) and take some photos with the beautiful autumn scenery. The first part of the session was a post-bridal session, and the second part was a just-for-fun session. I hope you enjoy these pictures of my Beautiful friends! : )
School + work + life have proven to be a challenging combination this past semester, so I took a break from updating my photo blog - but I'm back! I'm going to do my best to post as many photo sessions from the rest of 2013 before the new year hits. There are so many good sessions to share - I'm so excited! I'll start with Andy and Erin's maternity photo shoot. Andy and Erin are one of my first few friends when I first moved to Pittsburgh. In fact, Erin was one of the people responsible for pushing me into doing portrait photography more seriously. I also have them to thank for the many, Many photography referrals they've sent my way. With all that said, they're a pretty awesome couple, and I was honored to photograph them as they were preparing for the arrival of their sweet baby girl.
It's been a LONG time since I've posted pictures - I know! Things have been busy in our household. For one, we bought a house and gave it a Complete makeover. So yea, that kept us busy for a bit ;) We are done with the big jobs and are now tackling the fun decorating jobs. When we are all done, I will definitely share pictures (you Need to see the before and afters!). Anyway, summer is here and that usually means... Weddings! I love weddings! Call me a sap, but I have always been a fan of frilly white dresses, big fancy decor, and the lovey-dovey bride and groom. So it's really special to me whenever I'm asked to photograph a wedding - it is an honor to be able to be a part of a couple's special day. This past June, I spent an entire day with Chris and Miranda, who got married on a beautiful sunny Saturday, in the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside. Here are some pictures of their beautiful wedding!
Congratulations, Chris and Miranda! :)
As much as I love shooting portraits of people, I do miss taking pictures "just because"! I woke up inspired one morning and spent 15 minutes taking pictures of the same things in the same spot. This is what I came up with, and it excites me to bits - I think I finally captured something that I WANT to put on my wall!
